A Unique Offer of Current and Older Vintages
On January 15th 2012, the world lost a giant from the winemaking firmament. A quiet, contemplative and deeply private individual, Giuseppe Quintarelli was born in 1927 in Negrar, in the heart of Valpolicella Classico. His father, Silvio, was a sharecropper(a practice that persisted in parts of Italy well into the 1950s)who, in 1924, managed to buy a few vineyards in Cere,a hamlet just to the east of Negrar. Here, the hills rise steeply from the valley floor and the vast carpet of vineyards relies on terraces for support.
