The most important DOC of Etna

Terre Darrigo

Tenuta Terre Darrigo is the latest acquisition of Bacci Wines. It is located in the Municipality of Linguaglossa at 650 / 700 meters above sea level, in the historic district of D'Arrigo.

The Etna DOC vineyards overlook the sea of Taormina on one side and the summit of Mount Etna on the other.

The soils, typical of the area, are formed from millennia-old lava that during eruptions built the unique and unparalleled framework. A distinctive feature of the estate is the hand-built terraces of lava stone, crafted throughout history.

The red grape vineyards are almost exclusively Nerello Mascalese, with a small percentage of Nerello Cappuccio.

The white grape vineyard is Carricante.

The cellar, a modern 1500-square-meter building, is equipped with all the necessary equipment to achieve the quality that embodies the Bacci Wines philosophy. The property also features centuries-old olive trees and chestnut trees: a true corner of paradise.
